(ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that there was a direction given by the State Transport Appellate Tribunal, Punjab on 04.08.2008 to respondent No.2 to grant the permit in favour of the petitioner after withdrawing the same from Smt. Asha Rani in whose favour the permit was granted by the Competent Authority. Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that direction given by the State Transport Appellate Tribunal, vide order dated 04.08.2008 is yet to be complied with and despite bringing to the notice of respondent No.2 the order dated 04.08.2008, no action has been taken and petitioner is still waiting for a response from respondent No.2 with regard to the release of the permit.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further states that petitioner has served a legal notice on 06.06.2019 (Annexure P-8) with NARESH KUMAR 2020.02.05 10:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CWP-2285-2020 -2the reminders on 23.10.2019 (Annexure P-9) and 30.12.2019 (Annexure P-10), which are still pending consideration with respondent No.2 and petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is given to respondent No.2 to decide those legal notices. In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, respondent No.2 is directed to decide the legal notices dated 06.06.2019; 23.10.2019 and 30.12.2019 (Annexures P-8 to P-10) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

Present writ petition stands disposed of.
