*** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J. (ORAL) Since the material facts are analogous and the issue involved in both the aforesaid petitions is similar, they are being decided by a common order. Learned counsel for the petitioner(s) submits that though in these petitions, challenge is to the eligibility being granted to the ineligible candidates, who are competing under the category of eligible Sports Person but as there are large number of advertised posts, which are lying vacant against which the petitioner's claim can be considered, the petitioners will be satisfied in case appropriate direction is given to the respondents-State to consider the claim of
2023:PHHC:113138 CWP No.2188 of 2019 (O&M) #2# the petitioners, who have already participated in the selection process and have cleared the same and they can be adjusted against the posts lying, keeping in view the merit obtained by them.
Learned State counsel submits that in case, any grievance is raised by the petitioners before the Authorities concerned by filing any representation, the same will be considered with open mind and appropriate speaking order will be passed within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of any such representation and in case after the decision of the representation, any benefit accrues to the petitioners, the same shall be extended to them within a period of further four weeks.
Keeping in view the statement made by learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the present petition may be disposed of as having been not pressed any further with liberty to the petitioners to file representation with the competent Authority. Ordered accordingly.
