By this petition, the petitioners seek protection of life and liberty at the hands of respondents no.4 and 5, upon the petitioners having married each other (as contended) against the wishes of the said respondents, on 25.01.2020.

Notice of motion having been issued in this petition on 29.01.2020, an affidavit of the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, dated 12.07.2021, has been filed, stating therein that the petitioners stated before the ACP, Industrial Area-B, Ludhiana, that they have no threat perceptions from anybody.

The age of the petitioners has also been determined (to show that they both were above the legally marriageable age on the date of the marriage).

In view of the above and on the statement of the learned counsel for the petitioners that this petition has been rendered infructuous, this petition is disposed as such.
