HARSH BUNGER, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present petition, filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is for issuance of direction to respondent Nos.3 to 5, to conduct proper investigation in case FIR No.50 dated 28.03.2022, registered under Section 387 of the Indian Penal Code, at Police Station City Tarn Taran (Annexure P-3).

Pursuant to the advance copy of petition having been sent to learned State counsel, status report on behalf of the respondents by way of an affidavit of Sh. Jaspal Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, SubDivision Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran, has been filed, which is already on record.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner, has referred to para No.5 of status report, wherein, it has specifically been mentioned that on the basis of threat perception, one security guard i.e. Constable Harmanjeet Singh No.703/TT has already been appointed with the petitioner GURPREET KAUR 2023.05.10 13:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRM-M-5314-2023 -2namely, Gurdial Singh Sidhu, on the orders passed by Additional Director General of Police (Security), Punjab. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of status report, he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition.

In view of the afore-said submission, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
