(ORAL) Petition herein is under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking, inter alia, issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to compensate the petitioners to the tune of 50% of the amount of sale proceeds from trees being cut from the land adjacent to the agricultural land of the petitioners for construction of National Highway i.e. NH-44 by respondent No.5 and also give them notice of the auction proceedings for sale of said trees as per the Policy/letter dated 24.05.2017 (Annexure P-5).

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners submitted a representation dated 12.01.2021 (Annexures P-1 and P-2) but the same have not been adverted by the respondents till date. Hence, the writ petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he would be satisfied, at this stage, if a final decision is taken by the respondents on the representations dated 12.01.2021 (Annexures P-1 and P-2). 4.

Notice of motion.

Ms. Mamta Talwar, DAG, Haryana on service of advance copy of the petition joins the proceedings and accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State of Haryana.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the representations dated 12.01.2021 (Annexures P-1 and P-2) and also by keeping in view the contentions stated in the present petition by treating the same as supplementary representation and decide the same, by passing a speaking order, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. 8.

Disposed of accordingly.
