Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing of the impugned order dated 24.01.2020 (P-8); whereby petitioner was transferred from Panchayat Samiti, Khuian Sarwar, District Fazilka to Headquarters, District SAS Nagar, Mohali.

Learned State counsel on instructions from Jaswinder Singh, Legal Assistant, Department of Rural Development & Panchayat, has apprised the Court that the transfer order has been cancelled by the competent authority.

The above factual position has been duly acknowledged by learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above, present petition is disposed off as having been rendered infructuous.
