On 31.01.2024, the following order was passed by this Court:- "The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 2 to re-issue him passport. The petitioner was issued passport on 16.06.2010 which expired on 15.06.2020. An FIR No. 172 dated 30.12.2015, under Sections 411, 457, 380 of IPC was registered against the petitioner at Police Station Chabbewal, District Hoshiarpur. The petitioner, prior to registration of aforesaid FIR, left for Italy on work permit. The said work permit is going to expire on 10.02.2024. CWP-2028-2024 -2- 2024:PHHC:028512 proceedings came to India and surrendered before trial court. The petitioner has entered into compromise with the complainant. The parties have filed CRM-M- 60023 of 2023 before this Court seeking quashing of aforesaid FIR. Pursuant to order passed by this Court, statements of the parties therein have already been recorded by trial court. Next date before this Court in the said case is 09.02.2024.
