*** Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he does not want to proceed with the present petition which is 2nd one for grant of regular bail and he be permitted to withdraw the same, however, a direction be issued to the trial Court to expedite the trial.
Permission is granted. The petition is dismissed as withdrawn. The trial Court is directed to complete the trial expeditiously preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The trial Court is to fix short dates for recording statements of prosecution witnesses. The State shall cause appearance of PWs on the dates fixed and the accused shall not seek adjournment for cross-examination. In case the trial Court fails to complete the trial within six months it shall render explanation in not doing so to this Court.
