**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J.(Oral) In pursuance of order dated 08.02.2022, reply on behalf of respondent No.2 has been filed. The same is taken on record. Along with the reply, an undated receipt has been attached showing that Sh. Ram Avtar Gupta, Advocate on behalf of the petitioner had received a cheque bearing No.020958 dated 05.01.2022 in a sum of Rs.2,25,764/- towards full and final settlement of the claim amount in respect of award passed by the Permanent Lok Adalat. Sh. Ram Avtar Gupta has signed the receipt in token of confirmation and also under the MOHMED ATIK 2022.04.22 18:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-2279-2022  instructions of his client through Sh. Deepak, Advocate, who is counsel for respondent No.2/Insurance Company. Since the counsel on behalf of the petitioner has received the amount towards full and final settlement of the claim amount, therefore, no further indulgence is required to be given in this case, particularly in view of the fact that the Permanent Lok Adalat has accepted the claim to the extent of 75% amount of the IDV value of the vehicle.

In my considered opinion, the award of interest in view of full and final settlement cannot be appreciated. Disposed of.
