Instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C seeking issuance of direction to the respondents to complete the investigation and submit the challan/final report in FIR No.181 dated 19.12.2020 registered under Section 498-A of Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Dakha, District Ludhiana Rural (Annexure P-1) as period of more than one year has passed and no action has been taken. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has lodged FIR (Annexure P-1) against her husband and in-laws as she was being illtreated and harassed at her matrimonial home. Counsel points out that the petitioner had earlier approached this Court by filing CRM-M-1367 of 2022, which was withdrawn by her on 01.02.2022 with liberty to file a fresh petition by annexing representation moved before the authorities. Counsel submits that the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 20.12.2021 (Annexure P-2) and she will be satisfied in case a direction is issued to the concerned official respondent to look into the same.

Request made by counsel for the petitioner is just and fair. Without examining the allegations levelled in the petition or in the representation, at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana Rural, District Ludhiana -respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 20.12.2021 (Annexure P-2) and thereafter, to take appropriate steps as warranted, in accordance with law.

A copy of this order alongwith copy of representation, Annexure P-2 be sent to Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana Rural, District Ludhiana-respondent No.2 to enable him to do the needful expeditiously.
