Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to release the arrears of revised pay/pension and other benefits to the petitioners w.e.f. 01.01.2016 to till date, on the basis of implementation of 6th Pay Commission, as has been done in the case of similarly situated employees, whose cases have been decided by this Court, vide judgment dated 11.07.2024, Annexure P-4, with the lead case being CWP-29782-2022. 2.
Learned counsel would contend that regarding the claim raised in the present petition, a legal notice dated 22.10.2024, Annexure P-3, has been served upon the respondents, which has yet not evoked any response. He, on instructions, prays that a direction be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection. 3.
In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 22.10.2024, Annexure P-3, within a period of 6 months, taking note of the aforesaid judgment, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner.
