(Oral) The petition has been filed inter alia seeking a writ of certiorari quashing clause 7(b) at serial no.8 of Teachers Transfer Policy, 2023, dated 09.08.2023, and for a direction to the respondents to give merit wise points to the petitioners in couple case category.

Learned State counsel contended that a committee has been constituted to consider amendments to the Teacher Transfer Policy, and the issues raised by the petitioners herein are also under consideration. He has referred to instructions received from Director, Secondary Education, vide memo dated 13.05.2025, which is retained on case file as Annexure 'A'. It mentions that, 'the State Govt. is going to amend the Teacher Transfer Policy, 2023 and before the finalization of said amendment process by competent authority, no transfer drive is going to be run regarding teachers working in Govt. Schools'.
