Fearing for life and liberty at the hands of the private respondents, the petitioner, invoking the fundamental right of life guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India, has come up before this Court seeking protection through the State. Notices served upon the official respondents through the State's counsel. Given the nature of the order that this Court proposes to pass, neither the response of official respondents nor the issuance of notices to the private respondents is required. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be satisfied if a direction is issued to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh Police Headquarter, Chandigarh, respondent no.3, to decide the representation dated 01.02.2022 (Annexure P-1) in a time bound manner. Given above, the prayer is innocuous. As such, the petition is disposed of with a direction to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh Police Headquarter, Chandigarh, respondent no.3, to decide the representation (Annexure P-1) within three weeks from today.

In case of any unaddressed grievance, it shall be open for the petitioner to approach this Court again in accordance with law.
