The prayer made in the present petition is for quashing the order dated 09.10.2024, whereby respondent No.4 has been granted additional charge to the post of Joint Commissioner (Food Safety) in a completely illegal and arbitrary manner.

Learned Senior counsel submits that the petitioner has not been granted the benefit of promotion in the cadre of Assistant and Joint Commissioner (Food Safety), it being the single cadre post, which could not have been reserved and as per the roster, the 1st vacancy fell to the cadre of Scheduled Caste, which has not been followed. In this regard, a detailed representation shall be submitted, which may be directed to be decided in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection.
