The prayer in the present appeal is to set-aside the judgment of conviction dated 01.12.2008 and order of sentence dated 02.12.2008 passed by learned Judge, Special Court, Panipat whereby the appellant was convicted and sentenced for the offence punishable under Section 20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, in the case stemming from FIR No.62 dated 16.09.2007 registered under Section 20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Bapoli. 2.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from P/SI Anuj, submits that during the pendency of the instant appeal, the appellant had died on 14.11.2017. A copy of the Death Certificate of the appellant has been filed in the Court today, which is taken on record.
