IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH (208) FAO-4525-2002 Date of Decision:-23.12.2025 Raghubir Singh and Another ......Appellants
Versus
Sanjay Maheshwari and Others ......Respondents
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL ****
Present:
None for the appellant.
Mr. Bhuwnesh Lakhera, Advocate, for the respondent No.1.
**** AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL, J. (Oral) 1.
As per the report of the Registry, notices issued to appellants No.1 and 2 have been received back with the report that they have expired. 2.
A perusal of the case file reveals that on the last four consecutive dates of hearing, i.e. 19.07.2024, 08.07.2025, 26.09.2025 and 10.11.2025, neither the appellants nor anyone on their behalf appeared before the Court. Even today, there is no representation on their behalf. 3.
In the aforesaid circumstances, it is evident that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the present appeal pending on the docket for an indefinite period.
4.
It, therefore, appears that the legal representatives of the appellants are not interested in prosecuting the present appeal. SHUBHAM 2025.12.24 11:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/order -1-
5.
Accordingly, the present appeal is dismissed in default for want of prosecution.
6.
However, liberty is granted to the legal representatives of the appellants to seek revival of the appeal in accordance with law, in case any worthwhile cause survives for consideration.
7.
Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of. (AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL) JUDGE 23.12.2025 Shubham Whether speaking/reasoned:- Yes/No Whether Reportable:- Yes/No SHUBHAM 2025.12.24 11:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/order -2-
