***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J .(Oral) Petitioner Sunil has filed this petition seeking grant of regular bail in respect of a case registered against him vide FIR No.136 dated 10.10.2018 under Sections 379-B/34 of IPC at Police Station Division 'E' Division, District Amritsar The FIR was lodged at the instance of Dheenat Bano wherein it has been alleged that on the day of occurrence when she was returning from IDA market to her house then two youngmen came on a motorcycle bearing registration No.PB-06-T-0007 and snatched her wallet which was containing ` 200/- cash, a tiffin and a spoon.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in the present case and that in any case even the alleged articles snatched are in the nature of tiffin, spoon and ` 200/- only.

CRM-M-4028-2019 Opposing the petition, the learned State counsel has submitted that since the petitioner was arrested at the spot and is involved in six other cases, no case for grant of bail is made out. Having considered rival submissions addressed before this Court and bearing in mind the fact that the petitioner has been behind bars since the last 7 months and till date only 3 out of the 11 PWs have been examined, in my opinion, no useful purpose would be served by further detaining the petitioner behind bars. The petition is accepted and the petitioner Sunil is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of trial Court/Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate concerned.
