Mr. Harinderpal Singh, Advocate for the petitioner. ***** HARKESH MANUJA, J (ORAL) By way of present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., a prayer has been made for issuance of direction to official respondents to carry out a fair and impartial investigation in FIR No.147 dated 01.06.2022 under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Division No.5, District Ludhiana.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the FIR in question was registered way-back in June 2022, however, even after the expiry of more than 08 months now, the investigating agency has not been able to conclude the investigation by filing report under Section 173 (2) Cr.P.C.

Sh.Tarun Aggarwal, Sr. DAG, Punjab, who has already been on advance notice, on instructions from HC Baljinder Singh, submits that the investigation is already going on and final report in this regard shall be submitted to the concerned Court within a period of 08 weeks from today. In view of the above, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the official respondents to conclude the investigation in FIR No. 147 SANJAY GUPTA 2023.02.03 11:18 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
