(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No.22 dated 12.03.2016, under Sections 323, 324, 325, 148 and 149 IPC, Police Station Singh Bhagwantpur, District Ropar and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 26.11.2018 (P-2).
Pursuant to order dated 29.01.2019 of this Court, the parties appeared before the trial Court on 16.02.2019 along with receipt of `15,000/- to get their statements recorded. Learned Civil Judge (Jr. Division)-cum-JMIC, Rupnagar, has submitted her report vide letter No.78 dated 25.02.2019 duly forwarded by learned District and Sessions Judge, Rupnagar, vide Endst. Civil Judge (Jr. Division)-cumJMIC, Rupnagar is satisfied that compromise entered into between the parties is genuine and voluntary and the same has been effected between the parties out of their free will and consent, without any threat or pressure or undue influence. No accused has been declared proclaimed offender.
Considering the report of ld. Civil Judge (Jr. Division)-cumJMIC, Rupnagar and the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony in relations between the parties, aforesaid FIR No.22 dated 12.03.2016 along with all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, is quashed qua the petitioners only.
Disposed of accordingly.
