(Oral) Petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus, for release of detenue, Ravi S/o Jaspal Ravidassi, R/o Village Gandwa, P.O. Atholi, Tehsil Phagwara, District Kapurthala, who is stated to be illegally picked up/detained by the police i.e. respondents No.3 & 4.

Vide order dated 07.02.2021 of this Court, registry was directed to appoint a Warrant Officer, to search the whereabouts of the detenue and get him released forthwith and thereafter, to submit his report. In compliance to the aforesaid order, report of the Warrant Officer, has been received and perused, wherein, it has been stated that detenue was not found present in the police station and further he is required in FIR No. 06, dated 05.02.2021, registered at Police Station Satnampura, Tehsil Phagwara, Kapurthala. In view of the report, no further action in the matter is warranted, therefore, the instant petition stands disposed of accordingly.
