The petitioners herein are the practicing Advocates in the field Taxation at Ludhiana. They filed a suit for grant of decree of declaration to the effect that notice date 09.01.2015 is totally illegal along with an application under Order XXXIX Rules 1 and 2 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as "CPC") for the grant of temporary injunction.

The petitioners sought injunction to restrain the District Bar Association, Ludhiana, from debarring them to cast their vote in the election of the office bearers of the District Bar Association, Ludhiana. Both the Courts below have dismissed their application. 3.

Civil Revision No. 8698 of 2016 now, the petitioners have been permitted to participate in the election process including the right to cast their vote. 4.
