The petitioners complain of willful and deliberate disobedience of the directions issued by the High Court in CWP No. 18879 of 2019, decided on 15.07.2019. The operative part of the directions are extracted as under:- "6.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to objectively consider the legal notice dated 9.04.2019 (Annexure P-9) and also by keeping in view the contentions stated in the present writ petition by treating it as a supplementary representation and pass a speaking order, in accordance with law.

Let the needful be done within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order". 2.

In response, it has been stated that the Director General of DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2022.03.22 11:05 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

C.O.C.P. No. 385 of 2020 Police, Punjab, that a speaking order rejecting the claim of the petitioners has already been passed on 03.03.2020. A copy of the order, passed by the Special Director General of Police, Armed Batallions, Punjab, has been annexed as Annexure R1.

In view of the above, the petition for initiating the contempt proceedings is rendered infrucutous and the same is disposed of as such. Needless to observe that the petitioners can challenge the correctness of the order dated 03.03.2020, if so advised.
