NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the action of the respondent/department vide which the petitioner has been offered appointment on the post of Mali whereas the petitioner has not opted the option for Beldar in BCB Category under code (102), post in his first preference in water and irrigation department under code (542). Further a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing the respondent/department to offer the appointment to the petitioner on the post of Beldar in water and irrigation department under code (542), instead of Mali, as the petitioner has given his first preference to the post of Beldar as per the advertisement dated 04/2018 dated 26.08.2018 (Annexure P-1).

Learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition.
