MADAAN Present:- Mr. Munish Puri, Advocate for the petitioners. *** By way of filing the present petition, petitioners Swaran Kaur, Sukhminder Singh, Parminder Kaur and Indu Parkash, who are accused in criminal complaint filed by Gurpreet Singh against them and who had been summoned to appear by Judicial Magistrate First Class, Phillaur for offences under Sections 406, 420, 120-B IPC have approached this Court seeking quashing of the complaint. The main contention of petitioners is that report under Section 202 Cr.P.C. was not called from the police before passing the summoning order. The petitioners have approached this Court directly without first availing the remedy of filing revision petition against the summoning order before the Court of Sessions. The petitioners have got another remedy to appear in the trial Court and move an application for discharge, as such the present petition is disposed of relegating the petitioners to that remedy.
