NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in this petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 73 dated 04.10.2022 registered under Section 376 IPC at Police Station Mehta, Amritsar.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous and may be disposed of as such, as after completion of investigation, the police had filed cancellation report in favour of the petitioner. On instructions from ASI Balkar Singh, learned counsel for the State admits the same to be true and submits that the cancellation report has been accepted by the learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Baba Bakala Sahib, vide order dated 02.08.2023. In view of the above, the instant petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
