The prayer in the present appeal is to set-aside the judgment of conviction dated 22.12.2008 and order of sentence dated 23.12.2008 passed by learned Special Judge, Ambala whereby the appellant was convicted and sentenced for the offence punishable under Section 15 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, in the case stemming from FIR No.133 dated 02.05.2004 registered under Section 15 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Parao. 2.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from Inspector Dharambir, submits that during the pendency of the instant appeal, the appellant had died on 27.06.2022. A copy of the Death Certificate of the appellant has been filed in the Court today, which is taken on record.
