Aggrieved by the judgment dated 17.08.2009, passed by the Judge, Special Court, Mansa, vide which the appellant was convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of one year and to pay a fine of Rs.1,000/- under Section 15 of NDPS Act 1985, the appellant has come up before this Court by filing the present appeal in the year 2009.

On instructions from HC Harjinder Singh, counsel for the State submits that the appellant has expired on 17.12.2016 and handed over his death certificate, which is taken on record.

Given above, appeal is disposed of as abated. Pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
