*** Anoop Chitkara, J. (Oral) Counsel for the appellant submits that the appellant/convict-Gurdev Singh has since expired and after his death, his wife was substituted as appellant. Now even his wife has expired on 01.11.2022. As per her instructions, their son is in United Kingdom to whom the present counsel has no access. The counsel further submits that their son has not contacted her at his own.

State counsel on instructions from SI-Gurmel Singh submits that the statement regarding death of Gurdev Singh is correct and verified and this Court has taken the death report of the appellant, already on record vide order dated 25.07.2016.. 3.

Given above, the present appeal stands disposed of as having been abated with liberty to the legal heirs to get the same revived in accordance with law within a reasonable period.
