The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 for protecting his life and liberty as he apprehends threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 to 6. 2.

The case of the petitioner is that he had married daughter of respondent No.4-Kamlesh Kumar and had sought protection for the District Court, Jind as the marriage was against the wishes of the private respondents. 3.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. 4.

Learned State counsel has, however, drawn the attention of this Court to the reply filed on behalf of the State by way of affidavit of Sh. Pankhuri Kumar, PANKAJ KAKKAR 2021.09.27 19:10 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRWP-1048-2020 (O&M) HPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, CAW West, Gurugram, wherein it has been deposed that statement of Ankita was recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C. on 28.2.2020 before Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Gurugram, wherein she levelled allegations of sexual harassment, rape, unnatural sex etc. against the petitioner Rohit, his brother Ruhul and other members of his family including Karamveer, Saroj Devi and three unknown persons and consequently FIR No.19 dated 3.3.2020 at Police Station Women West, Gurugram under Sections 323, 365, 376(2)(n), 377 and 506 of Indian Penal Code came to be lodged against the said persons. Learned State counsel has informed that pursuant to lodging of the aforesaid FIR, the petitioner was arrested by the police.

In view of the aforestated position and in view of the fact that the petitioner has not even chosen to cause appearance, it is apparent that the petitioner is not interested to pursue the matter.
