(ORAL) The petitioner has approached this Court with a limited prayer that a direction be issued to respondent No.1 to hold enquiry into the complaint of sexual harassment at work place of petitioner through Internal Complaints Committee for Women in Punjab Police at Chandigarh. In response to the notice of motion issued, respondents No.1 and 2 have filed reply by way of affidavit of Barjinder Singh, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police West, Jalandhar wherein it has been stated that case of the petitioner has been referred to the District Level Internal Complaint Committee vide letter No.84414-17 dated 30.10.2018.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-State would submit that since the complaint filed by the petitioner has been referred to the District Level Committee constituted in accordance with provision of Section 4 of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 to enquire into the same, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. CWP No.2598 of 2019 (O&M) -2I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have perused the paper book. In view of the reply filed by the respondents No.1 and 2, this Court is of the opinion that the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed, as the complaint of the petitioner has been referred to the District Level Committee constituted under Section 4 of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 to enquire into the same. Consequently, the instant petition stands disposed of.
