(ORAL) Mr.Satya Pal Jain, Additional Solicitor General of India submits that requisite amendments in the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971 introduced by way of a Bill have been passed by both the Houses of the Parliament and formal assent to the same has also been accorded by the Hon'ble President of India. It is only the notification that is now required to be issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In view of the aforesaid statement, proceedings before this Court are rendered infructuous and the present petition is disposed of accordingly.
