The present revision petition has been filed challenging the order dated 28.09.2017 passed by the learned Rent Controller, (NRI Court), Jalandhar ordering ejectment of the petitioner-tenant from the premises in dispute.

The respondent-landlord, who is a NRI, filed a petition under Section 13-B of the East Punjab Urban Rent Restriction Act, 1949 in the present case as well as several other cases were also filed by him for ejectment. A revision petition being CR-8853-2017 was filed by one of the tenants, namely, Onkar Singh, which was dismissed by this Court vide order dated 10.08.2022.

Learned counsel for the petitioner is not in a position to deny the fact that there are identical grounds in the present petition as were raised in CR-8853-2017 which stands decided by this Court vide order dated 10.08.2022.
