On last date of hearing i.e. 16.05.2024, following order was passed which reads as follows:
"
Learned State counsel has filed the custody certificate of the appellantKuldip Singh in CRA-S-2371-SB-2009 in Court today, which is taken on record and submits that as per the information received, the appellant-Kuldip Singh has since expired.
In light of the above, the State shall make an effort to inform the legal heirs of the appellant-Kuldip Singh with regard to the pendency of this appeal and the next date of hearing.
Learned State counsel has filed the custody certificates of the appellantLakhwinder Singh in CRA-S-2330-SB-2009 and appellantLakhvir Singh in CRA-S2382-SB-2009 in Court today, which are taken on record and has submitted that from Lakhwinder Singh 500 grams of opium was recovered and from Lakhvir Singh 400 grams of opium was recovered.
Adjourned to 12.08.2024. I In the meantime, learned counsel for the appellant(s) shall file their short synopsis of not more than two pages at least one day before the next date of hearing."
