* * * * RAVI SHANKER JHA, C.J. (ORAL) CM-2874-CWP-2022 For the reasons mentioned therein, the application for placing on record the amended writ petition alongwith uncertified photocopies of annexure(s) is allowed.
The amended writ petition is taken on record. CWP-2567-2022 When confronted with clause 13 of the prospectus for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses for the session 2021 (Annexure P-3 at page 118), learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would file an appeal before the appellate-authority i.e. respondent No. 3 - Director Research and Medical Education, Punjab. It is, however, submitted that the appellate-authority may be directed to consider and decide the appeal at an early date as the mop up round of counselling is going on.
Mr. Avinit Avasthi, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab submits that in case the appeal is filed by the petitioner today, the appellate-authority would decide it by 25.03.2022 in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order which shall be communicated to the petitioner. In view of the aforesaid submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the statement of learned State counsel, the writ petition stands disposed of in terms thereof.
