Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that respondent No. 4 has illegally solemnized marriage with daughter of the petitioner on 01.02.2022 at Gurudwara Sahib at Patiala. Respondent No. 4 is making physical relations with her daughter who is minor. She has made representation, however, police is not taking appropriate action.

CRM-M-5522 of 2023 -2Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Balwinder Singh, submits that daughter of the petitioner has already performed marriage with respondent No. 4. The police has yet to verify whether daughter of the petitioner was minor at the time of marriage or not. The police is investigating the matter and needful would be done. In view of statement of learned State counsel, no further order is warranted. The Court is sanguine of the fact that police would make sincere efforts to investigate the matter. Disposed of accordingly.
