ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein is for seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the benefit of revision of pension w.e.f. 01.12.2011 in view of the instructions dated 04.07.2019 (Annexure P-19) along with interest @ 9% per annum. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners caused issuance of a legal notice dated 03.12.2020 (Annexure P-20) but the same has not been adverted by the respondents till date. Hence, the instant petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioners relies on a judgment rendered by this Court in case titled as Karanvir Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others decided on 30.09.2016 (Annexure P-14). 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he would be satisfied, at this stage, if a final decision, either way, is taken by the respondents on the pending legal notice dated 03.12.2020 (Annexure P-20). VIVEK PAHWA 2021.02.18 19:05 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Ms. Kanica Sachdeva, AAG Punjab on service of advance copy of the petition joins the proceedings and accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State of Punjab and states that per her instructions, the case of the petitioners has already been recommended and is currently stated to be pending in the office of Accountant General, Punjab. 7.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the grievance of the petitioners as per legal notice dated 03.12.2020 (Annexure P-20) and decide the same, in accordance with law. 8.

In case a favourable recommendation has already been made, benefit thereof be accorded to the petitioners within a period of 03 months from today.

Disposed of accordingly.
