STATE OF HARYANA AND OTHERS ...RESPONDENTS
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE DEEPAK MANCHANDA.
PRESENT:
MR. RAJIV RATHOR, ADVOCATE FOR THE PETITIONER. DEEPAK MANCHANDA, J.(ORAL) The petitioners have filed this petition under Article 226 Constitution of India directing the officials respondents to protect their life and liberty, who are facing threats from respondents No.4 to 6, as they have married each other against their wishes.
Learned counsel submits both the petitioners are major and have performed marriage on 30.1.2023 (Annexure P-3). He further submits that apprehending threat from the private respondents, the petitioners have submitted representation to respondent No.2 through post on 30.1.2023 (Annexure P-4), however, no action has been taken till date.
Learned counsel prays that keeping in view the threat perception, the petitioners would be satisfied if their representation dated 30.1.2023 (Annexure P4) sent to respondent No.2 be ordered to be decided expeditiously. Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners, respondent No.2 is directed to look into the representation dated 30.1.2023 (Annexure P-4) sent through Post and decide the same expeditiously in accordance with law.
Petition is disposed of.
