(ORAL) Reply has been filed on behalf of respondents No.1 and 3, today in the Court and the same is taken on record. A copy thereof has been supplied to counsel for the petitioners. In the present writ petition, the grievance which is being raised by the petitioners is that their pension have been stopped by the respondents, vide order dated 18.01.2019 (Annexure P-10). Upon notice of motion, reply has been filed on behalf of the respondents-State.

In the reply, the stand of the respondents is that Department of Finance, Government of Punjab, has already issued the orders to all the concerned including all the District Treasury Officers not to stop the NARESH KUMAR 2019.05.31 14:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CWP-2558-2019 -2pension of the PR Chowkidars and the said order has been passed on 01.05.2019, copy of which has been attached alongwith the reply as Annexure R-2.

Counsel for the respondents, on instructions from Ms.Anjuman Bhaskar, Assistant Director, Storage, Department of Food & Civil Supplies, Punjab, states that the pension of the petitioners including the arrears will be released by 31.05.2019 and the directions to this effect have already been given to the Banks and the Banks have also reciprocated by giving them a certificate that needful will be done by 31.05.2019 and the pension will be released without any interruption and the arrears of the pension will also be cleared by 31.05.2019. Keeping in view the above, counsel for the petitioners states that he does not want to press the present writ petition any further at this stage and he prays that the same may be disposed of, as not pressed. Disposed of, as not pressed.
