ASHOK KUMAR VERMA, J. (ORAL) Through this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.158 dated 15.12.2021 registered under Sections 22 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropis Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Sadar Sangrur, District Sangrur, on medical grounds as the petitioner is suffering from hepatitis.

Learned State counsel has filed reply by way of affidavit of Manjit Singh Sidhu, Superintendent, District Jail, Sangrur, along with custody certificate (Annexure R-1) and Medical Report (Annexure R-II) on behalf of the respondent-State, which is taken on record. According to Medical Report, petitioner is under treatment with Inhaler, Buprenorphine and Liv 52. At present, his medical condition is grossly stable.
