Mr. Ajeet Pal Singh Pakka, Advocate for the petitioners. ***** HARKESH MANUJA, J (ORAL) By way of present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., a prayer has been made for issuance of direction to the official respondents to take cognizance of the complaints submitted by the petitioners against private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioners refers to annexure P-8 at page 22 of the paper-book, a representation dated 27.08.2021, submitted by son of petitioner No.2, in the office of Senior Superintendent of Police, Sri Muktsar Sahib, which was forwarded to the concerned DSP at Gidderbaha for looking into the matter and taking necessary action in accordance with law against the private respondents. Learned counsel further submits that DSP, Gidderbaha forwarded the said complaint to SHO of concerned Police Station, Gidderbaha, however, despite the expiry of more than 1 1⁄2 years, no action at all has been taken on the said representation/ complaint. Learned counsel also submits that the petitioners or the private respondents have not even been called upon by the said SHO for the purpose of carrying out any inquiry thereupon. CRM-M-5393-2023 Sh.Tarun Aggarwal, Sr. DAG, Punjab, who is already upon advance notice, on instructions from police official, submits that representation dated 27.08.2021 (P-8) submitted by son of petitioner No.2 shall be considered and dealt with by the respondents within a period of 04 weeks from today.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the official respondents to consider and decide the representation dated 27.08.2021 (P-8) by affording an opportunity to the petitioners, besides even permitting them to produce relevant documents in support of their contentions, within a period of four weeks from today.
