(ORAL) The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondents No.2 to 4 for finalizing and executing the demarcation and possession proceedings in pursuance of letter No.962, dated 19.11.2024 (Annexure P-8) in a time bound manner. 2.

A perusal of letter dated 19.11.2024 (Annexure P-8) would suggest that petitioner is seeking possession on the basis of partition proceedings.

Learned State counsel has produced a copy of Civil Court decree wherein the partition proceedings in question has already been set aside and relying upon the Civil Court decree, the learned Financial Commissioner has remanded the partition proceedings to the Assistant Collector 2nd Grade, HIMANI GUPTA 2025.05.14 09:36 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh

Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner prays that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant writ petition. 5.
