As per the allegations, the petitioner - Hardeep Singh @ Sandhura, is stated to have murdered his own father by firing shots with a 12-bore rifle, allegedly on account of a dispute regarding transfer of 14 acres of land in his favour.
The FIR in the present case was registered at the instance of the grandson of the deceased, namely, Gurpal Singh, son of Kapoor Singh (another son of the deceased).

Considering the seriousness and gravity of the allegations, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the instant petition at this stage.
