**** SANJAY VASHISTH, J. (Oral) CRM-7314-2026 The present application has been filed for placing on record the amended memo of parties as Annexure A-1 on the ground that inadvertently name of respondent No.2 was written as Sarabjeet Singh instead of Sarabjeet Kaur.

Mr. Jasdeep Singh, Addl. A.G. Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.1/State and has no objection in placing on record the amended memo of parties as Annexure A-1.

For the reasons enumerated in the application, the same is allowed and the amended memo of parties is taken on record. Registry to tag the same at the appropriate place. CRM-M-5478-2026 Instant petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, seeking quashing of the below detailed First Information Report (FIR), and all the consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of the compromise dated 01.12.2025 (P-3), effected between the parties. DETAILS OF CRIMINAL CASE:- FIR No.

Date Section(s) Police Station 27.09.2024 331(5), 62, 61(2), 3(5) of BNS Sadar Raikot, District Ludhiana (Rural) Vide order dated 31.01.2026, the affected parties were directed to appear before the learned Trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate, for getting their respective statements recorded with regard to the compromise. Report has since been received from learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Jagraon in pursuance to the directions of this Court wherein, the factum of the compromise arrived at between the parties stands verified and confirmed. As per the report(s) compromise has indeed been effected between the parties and the same is without any pressure or coercion and out of their free will and the private respondents have also made statement to the effect that they would have no objection if the FIR qua the accused-petitioner is quashed.

The trial Court has annexed the statements of the parties in original, along with its report. The relevant part of the said report is reproduced herebelow:

Learned State counsel too submits that initially there were two accused namely Jagdeep Singh and Amandeep Singh @ Amna arrayed in the FIR, however, during the pendency of the case Amandeep Singh @ Amna has died and the private respondent is the only aggrieved persons in the FIR in question.

In view of the report of the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Jagraon, and the principles laid down by Hon'ble the Apex Court in Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab and others (2012) 10 SCC 303, and also by the Full Bench of this Court in Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and another, 2007(3) RCR (Criminal) 1052, the instant petition is allowed. The aforesaid FIR and all consequential proceedings arising out of it, are quashed.

Needless to say the parties shall remain bound by the terms of compromise and their statements recorded before the Court below. 8.

Petition stands disposed of.
