JASGURPREET SINGH PURI , J. (ORAL ) Petitioners claim that they have attained majority and married against the wishes of their family members. Apprehending threat to their life and liberty, they have filed the present petition for protection. Petitioners claim to have submitted a representation (Annexure P-5) dated 29.01.2020 in this regard to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana.

The petitioners have placed on record copy of Aadhar Card of petitioner No.1 (Annexures P-1) and affidavit of petitioner No.2 (Annexure P-2) as proof of their age as well as photographs (Annexure P-4) and copy of certificate (Annexure P3) regarding performance of marriage. This petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, to look into the representation Annexure P-5 dated 29.01.2020 and ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners. However, it is made clear that this order shall not be treated as stamp of the Court about the marriage of the parties and no opinion regarding the validity of the marriage has been expressed.
