MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) The instant petition has been filed for issuance of direction to respondents No.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents.

The learned counsel submits that petitioner No.1 has been living with petitioner No.2, who is stated to be an old friend of her. It is further submitted that the husband of petitioner No.1, arrayed as respondent No.4 along with other private respondents, has been threatening the petitioners with dire consequences on the telephone. On a pointed query put to the learned counsel as to whether they had approached the nearest police station with a complaint against the private respondents qua the threats being extended to them, his reply was in the negative. In the circumstances and in the absence of any complaint RUPINDER KAUR 2021.02.17 13:55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-1569-2021 [ 2 ] having been made to the nearest police station with respect to the continuous threats which are allegedly being received by the petitioners, this court does not deem it fit to issue the directions as sought for by the petitioners.
