Present petition has been filed by the petitioners for seeking direction to the official respondents No.1 to 3, to protect their lives and liberty from the hands of private respondents No.4 to 7. 2.

On 11.02.2025, following order was passed:- "1.

In the present petition, on 30.01.2025, following order was passed :- "

Present petition has been filed by the petitioners for seeking direction to the official respondent Nos. 1 to 3, to protect their life and liberty from the hands of private respondent Nos. 4 to 7.

It is noticed by the Court that both the petitioners are residents of Delhi, and the address has been projected of Panipat (Haryana). It is also noticed that all the private respondents are also residents of Delhi.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners seeks an adjournment as arguing counsel is not available. On request, adjourned to 07.02.2025."

The Learned State Counsel shall file a status report indicating whether any criminal case has been registered against Petitioner No. 2 in Delhi. Additionally, the status report shall include details regarding the current place of residence of the petitioners. 3.

List on 21.02.2025."

Relevant paragraphs No.2(i) & (ii), 3 and 4, of the status report are reproduced here-under:- "2.

That brief background facts relevant for disposal of present petition are as under:- (i) That the threat perception regarding the petitioners was duly enquired by ASI Jagbir, P.S. Old Industrial, Panipat. During enquiry, on 30.01.2025, Sapna D/o Pardeep (Petitioner No. 1), Prince S/o Pardeep (Petitioner No. 2), Kuldeep S/o Dayanand (uncle of petitioner No. 2), and Sapna alias Kamlesh W/o Kuldeep (aunt of petitioner No. 2) were joined in the enquiry and their statement were recorded, wherein they got recorded that the couple had voluntarily entered into a love marriage on 24.01.2025, at the Panipat Court. They had filed the present petition before this Hon'ble Court out of fear from the family of petitioner No.1 due to their love marriage. However, communication has now started with the family of petitioner No.

1, and they no longer have any danger from her family. They expressed their happiness in their marital life and confirmed that they did not require any protection. True copies of statements of Sapna (Petitioner No. 1), Prince (Petitioner No.2), Kuldeep and Sapna alias Kamlesh are annexed herewith as Annexure R-1, Annexure R-2, Annexure R-3, and Annexure R-4 respectively.

(ii) That thereafter, on 13.02.2025, petitioners were again joined in the enquiry of present matter and their statements were recorded, wherein they got recorded that the family of petitioner No. 1 did not file any missing person's report in Delhi. They are currently living together at House No. 10/13, Kacha Camp, Panipat. They do not face any kind of threat now, and they are happy in their married life. They do not need any kind of protection. 3.

That the petitioners No. 1 and 2 are found to be living at the rented accommodation of Kuldeep S/o Dayanand (Uncle of petitioner No. 2) at House No. 1013, Kacha Camp, District Panipat. 4.

That the petitioner No.2 has not been found to be involved in any case FIR as per police record verified by the investigating officer." 5.

In view of the stand taken in the status report, counsel for the petitioners submits that he does not wish to press the present petition. 6.

Dismissed, same being not pressed.
