This is a petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for directing the respondent Nos.2 and 3 to take action on the representation dated 28.01.2022 (Annexure P-1). Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the fear of the petitioner is that the investigation is not being done in a fair manner and hence he had moved a representation dated 28.01.2022 (Annexure P-1) addressed to the Deputy Inspector General, Punjab Police, Patiala Range, Patiala with a copy to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla to look into the matter. It is further the contention that the petitioner fears for his life and liberty. The learned counsel would further contend that the petitioner at this stage would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to take a decision on the representation dated 28.01.2022 (Annexure P-1).

In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.3 to take a decision on the representation dated 28.01.2022 (Annexure P1) expeditiously and in accordance with law. It is further directed that in case the petitioner approaches the police for protection of his life and liberty, the same may be attended to and action be taken in accordance with law. Disposed off.
