(ORAL) By way of the instant petition, the petitioner seeks the indulgence of this Court for quashing/setting aside the order passed by respondent No.5 on 09.02.2022 (Annexure P-4), qua the rejection of application (Annexure P-3) moved by him for seeking parole to participate in the marriage ceremony of his daughter, as scheduled to be solemnized on 13.02.2022.

Heard.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer to the issuance of a direction to the respondents to allow the petitioner to attend the marriage ceremony of his daughter on 13.02.2022 in the custody.

Learned State counsel has no objection for the same. Resultantly, the instant petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.5-Superintendent of Faridkot Jail, to make all the necessary arrangements for enabling the petitioner to attend the marriage of his daughter on 13.02.2022 at the venue of the said ceremony, during the period from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, in the safe custody. 11.02.2022.
