NIDHI GUPTA J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for quashing of FIR No.229 dated 08.10.2022 (Annexure P-1) under Section 306 IPC, registered at Police Station Ajnala, District Amritsar Rural.

It is admitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the investigation is at initial stage and even challan has not yet been filed in the matter. Even otherwise, learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to show that an FIR registered under Section 306 IPC can be quashed. Perusal of the order dated 21.8.2023 (Annexure P-4) passed in CRM-M-3500 of 2023, which was filed by the present petitioner on the same cause of action, was also withdrawn.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition.

Permitted to do so.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
