The petitioner seeks grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.280 dated 28.12.2017 under Sections 454/380 of Indian Penal Code at Police Station Lambi, District Sri Muktsar Sahib. 2.

The FIR in question was lodged at the instance of Maulvi Rafiq wherein it is alleged that Boota Khan, Bhuro and Garry Khan had stolen valuable articles from Mosque built in village Vanwala which included box bed, cooler, Fridge, washing machine, gas cylinder etc. apart from utensils of gold and silver and the holy book Quran Sharif.

Learned State counsel, upon instructions from HC Sanjeev Kumar, has informed that pursuant to interim directions, the petitioner has joined investigation and is not required for any custodial interrogation. 4.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 5.2.2020 are hereby made absolute, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
